About Kidney Warriors 4 Life
Our History
Kidney Warriors 4 Life was founded in 2022 by Brian and Denise Smith. Brian began home hemodialysis in 2020 and Denise was his care partner. They realized the growing need for a support system in Alabama for kidney patients and their care partners. Brian lost his battle with kidney disease on January 9, 2024 five days after their fourth wedding anniversary.
Our Mission
At Kidney Warriors 4 Life, we strive to empower kidney patients, transplant recipients, and caregivers by providing unwavering support, essential education, and advocacy through compassionate programs and resources.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a world where those affected by kidney disease whether through chronic kidney disease, dialysis, or post-transplant care feel empowered, educated, and supported by a community that advocates for their well-being and helps them lead fulfilling lives.
